I didn’t get this for diapers—and honestly, I think I found an even better use for it. Hear me out...

I use mine for cat litter disposal, and after just a week of using it… wow, I really wish I had thought of this sooner! It has been a complete game changer for keeping my home odor-free. Anyone with cats knows how quickly litter in a regular trash can can take over a room—this completely fixes that.

Functionality:

This thing just works. The wide opening makes it super easy to toss into without awkward angles or spills, and the ergonomic height is surprisingly convenient—you’re not constantly bending down like you would with a regular trash can. I also love the design—when you close it, the front seals off while the bottom opens at the same time. That dual-action setup is honestly genius.

Odor Control:

The triple-seal system is no joke. I was skeptical at first, but it absolutely delivers. I do put the litter into plastic grocery bags before tossing it in (same thing I used to do with my motion activated garbage can), but the difference here is very noticeable. With my regular garbage can, I could still smell it pretty strongly. With this pail, I smell nothing once the litter is tossed into the receptacle. Huge win.

This diaper pail replaced my fancy brand name one (starting with d and ending with ekor) after a single day of use. It looks stylish and modern (kind of like a little astronaut!), and the outer surface is very easy to wipe down. I have used regular disinfecting wipes on the outside of the pail every couple days (because diaper bacteria, ew) and there has been no observable discoloration or paint/color loss. Assembly was straight forward with the included instructions, which also clearly showed how to attach the included bags. It can hold a weeks worth of Millie Moon size 3 diapers for our 15 month old (on a normal, non-teething week.). The only caveat to that weeks worth of use--about once a day I need to jostle the pail side to side and front to back to help the diapers settle into the full width of the bag. If I don't do this little jostling, then I find that the diapers stack vertically in a rather narrow tower instead of spreading out to fill the full available area within the pail. Before I figured out this little trick, when I emptied the bin I would find a LOT of unfilled space in the bag. Now that I know to give it a daily jiggle, I can fill the bags nearly to the top and it lasts much longer between emptyings. The most important part of use: when it is sitting there, hanging out, waiting to have a diaper put into it, you should leave the clear swiveling receptacle hole OPEN to the room air with the handle position at the back.
